The winners of the 2020 Ideas Contest have been announced

On June 8, 2020, the most original business ideas and groundbreaking research findings from the Rostock Research Area were presented as part of the “inspired” ideas competition. The goal of the competition is to identify innovative technologies and ideas at the University of Rostock and research institutions in the Rostock area and to support them not only with financial resources but also with valuable contacts, intensive coaching, and important practical insights.

The competition finalists presented their ideas in the new COVID-19-compliant live studio at Albert-Einstein-Straße 21 before a high-caliber jury of entrepreneurs and scientists.

The top three winners in the “Students” and “Researchers & Graduates” categories will receive prize money and awards totaling nearly 10,000 euros, donated by companies in the region. These include special prizes in the areas of Digital Innovation and Process Optimization, Healthcare/Life Sciences, and Innovative Products, each worth 1,000 euros.

The winners were announced on June 12, 2020, via YouTube.
