Since 2012, the Center for Entrepreneurship (ZfE) has united the diverse activities of the University of Rostock in the fields of awareness-raising, entrepreneurship education, transfer, consulting, research and networking across all locations.

The Center for Entrepreneurship is dedicated to the education and promotion of entrepreneurial thinking and action. As a central point of contact for all those interested in starting a business at the university, the ZfE team supports students, graduates and academics at the University of Rostock from the development of the initial idea to the founding of the company.

The ZfE stands for a sustainable culture of entrepreneurial independence at all levels of the university and across campus boundaries and always strives to harness the extensive development and innovation potential at the University of Rostock - also in regional cooperations and networks.

In addition, the ZfE establishes successful competitions and conferences, such as INSPIRED.DER IDEENWETTBEWERB. IN MV. or the MVPRENEUR DAY.

With a unanimous founding resolution on November 6, 2020, the Center for Entrepreneurship (ZfE) was founded as an institute of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Rostock and thus strategically broadened, whereby the topic of entrepreneurship should experience even greater penetration within the university.
