"inspired - The ideas competition. In MV."

We are looking for innovative ideas and research results from the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern research region.

The competition is aimed at the following groups of people:

  • enrolled students
  • research assistants
  • doctoral candidates
  • post docs
  • professors
  • graduates
  • Members of the participating research institutes
  • Craftspeople
  • Others

Participation is possible both individually and in teams. There is no industry focus in this competition.

Statewide ideas competition 2023

On July 12, 2023, the state-wide final of the "inspired" ideas competition took place at the university in Wismar.

Registration started

Registration for the 2024 competition via the Center for Entrepreneurship (ZfE) at the University of Rostock: via online registration form or e-mail to zfe@uni-rostock.de!

Nationwide ideas competition on July 18, 2024

The best teams from the local competitions at the participating university and college locations in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern are given the opportunity to take part in the state-wide ideas competition MV. The finalists will once again present their ideas to a high-caliber jury. This is followed by a public award ceremony for the best ideas in a dignified setting.

Until June 07, 2024

Submission of the refined idea sketches (form will be provided after registration) and, if applicable, a letter of confirmation from the mentors from business and/or science. The ideas are then selected for presentation by an independent jury.

"Rockit Week" [September 04 - September 08, 2024]

As part of the nationwide ideas competition, the participating idea holders are given the opportunity to further develop their ideas through an interactive mix of theory, group and individual work and to immediately apply what they have learned "hands on" to their own projects. In terms of content, Rock-it Week focuses on the further development of ideas and the development of business models using the latest creative methods and models.

Local ideas competition on June 25, 2024

Presentation of the ideas in the "Researchers and graduates" and "Students" categories and final selection by the jury. The award ceremony for the prize winners and special prize winners will take place immediately afterwards. Location and format to be announced.

Berlin Valley Tour [September 30 - October 02, 2024]

We are starting from Rostock and are exploring Berlin's start-up scene within three days. We are putting together an optimal daily schedule with suitable coaching offers for each individual team. Let us surprise you!

The ideas competition, which is funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Tourism and Employment and the European Social Fund Plus (ESF), supports innovative ideas and business start-ups in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern every year, e.g. from academia. In the multi-stage competition, no fully developed business plans are expected, but rather a concise, precise presentation of the business idea and the participants who would like to continue working on this idea. The submitted idea will be refined and developed further over the course of the competition.
